
Broken Railroad Track
These are pictures of the BNSF railroad track in front of my house. As you can see the connector cracked clear through to the bottom, the piece of track on the right side of the images was a good inch above the other. At the time it broke a train was going from right to left. It was over 90� on this day so the heat expansion caused the rails to lock together, if a train had come from left to right, a derailment could have occurred.
