Io is Jupiter's fifth known moon. Io's orbit is about 262,000 miles from Jupiter. Io has a diameter of 2255 miles. The name Io comes from a maiden who was loved by Zeus. Io was discovered in 1610 by Galileo and Marius. Io has a mass of 8.93e22kg.
