Naiad



Naiad is Neptune's innermost known moon. Naiad's orbit is about 30,000 miles from Neptune and has a diameter of 36 miles. The name Naiad comes from nymphs who lived in and presided over brooks, springs, and fountains. Naiad was discovered in 1989 by Voyager 2.
