Overview
Dental Crop ("the App") is a photo-processing tool operated by Titan Miller and available at https://www.titanmiller.net/DentalCrop/. The App runs entirely in your web browser. It has no backend server, no database, and no user accounts: the web address above only serves the App's program code to your browser.
Photos and files
Photos you open with the App are read from your computer and processed locally in your browser. They are never uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers. Edits (cropping, brightness, rotation, mirroring, tooth-number labels) are applied in your browser's memory only; your original photo files on disk are never modified. Photos leave your browser only in two ways, both requiring your explicit action:
- Email drafts created in your own Gmail account, only when you click the button to create a draft (see "Google user data" below).
- Downloads to your own computer: the Download feature saves edited copies of your photos into a folder that you choose on your own device, using your browser's folder picker. The files are written directly from your browser to your local disk (or a location you select, such as a network drive) — nothing is uploaded or sent to us or to any third party. The App can only write inside the folder you pick, and your browser asks for your permission before it does.
Google user data
If you choose to connect Gmail, the App requests the Google OAuth scope
gmail.compose and uses it for exactly one purpose: creating email drafts, in your own
Gmail account, containing the photos you selected. The App does not read your email, contacts, or any
other Google data; it does not delete anything; and it does not send email — drafts are only sent if
you review and send them yourself in Gmail.
- The Google access token is held in your browser's memory only, is never written to disk, and is never transmitted anywhere except directly to Google's own API.
- No Google user data is stored, shared, sold, or used for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than the draft creation you request.
- You can revoke the App's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
The App's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data stored on your device
The App saves the following in your browser's local storage, on your device only:
- Settings — batch time gap, default recipient email address, display preferences, and your Google OAuth client ID.
- Work-in-progress session — so that accidentally closing the browser doesn't lose your work, the App keeps a local record of your current session's edits (crop positions, adjustments, tooth-number labels, exclusions) and the patient names you typed, associated with the names of the photo files you opened. The photos themselves are never stored. Each new session overwrites the previous record.
None of this leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this website.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking
The App uses no cookies, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Data sharing
We do not collect your data, so we have nothing to share or sell. No information about you or your photos is disclosed to any third party by the App.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
